Each Wednesday I will be linking up with Rebecca from Becca Blogs it Out to share my weight loss and fitness progress through Weigh in Wednesday. We’d love you to join in! You can find the link at the bottom of this post.
You can catch up on last week’s post here.
Today’s Weigh In
My starting weight was 13st 12lbs
As of today, August 1st 2018, I weigh 13st 13lbs. I’ve gone down 1 whole pound this week! OK it’s very small, but it’s something. I’m happy.
I’m not going to take measurements this week as I am feeling quite bloated thanks to mother nature, but I’ll be taking them next week to see what progress I have made.
After watching my weight go up last week I’m really happy to see it moving in the right direction again. I’ve definitely noticed a difference within myself. I’m so much happier with how I’m doing now in terms of activity. It’s nothing incredible or outstanding yet, but I am noticing that I am making a more conscious effort to move more. Before, I would reach 8pm and think “oh crap, I better walk around the living room for a bit”. My step count itself has been OK and I’m still missing my goal of 2000 some days, but my mindset is really improving and I think that’s half the battle!
Changes I Could Make to Progress
As I am now in a better habit of taking some dedicated time out of my day to be more active, I am going to add another goal on top of my daily steps. I’ve been following a fitness channel on Youtube for a while now by a personal trainer called Lucy Wyndham-Read. She shares a huge mix of short workouts aimed at everything from toning your arms to getting rid of your muffin top as well as some general walking and cardio routines.
Starting slow, I’m going to add one of her workouts to my week. I think I’ll go for the arm toning routine as when I tried my wedding dress on for the first time, that was the only negative thing that caught my eye. (I’m very lucky that even at my current weight I feel very comfortable in the dress I’ve chosen).
I’d definitely recommend checking out her channel if you like simple at home workouts. I’ll link to it here.
Thoughts for this Week
Be more conscious of the things I choose to eat. I often find that opportunities to eat all of my favourite, but not so good for me foods, present them self more often than I first realised. The week ahead is looking to be relatively healthy and active…other than the trip to the zoo later today. We are taking our nieces and my brother-in-law has his birthday on the same day. You already know there will be birthday cake and we’ll be eating out for one, maybe two meals. For some reason, maybe because it’s a Wednesday and not the weekend, I hadn’t really thought about it like that until now. I need to pause for a second before devouring everything offered to me. It’s just common sense really isn’t it?
