Sometimes in life, it is important that we adapt our actions to helps us grow and improve. You may have read previous posts by the name Weigh in Wednesday, a linky I started with Rebecca from Becca Blogs it Out a month ago. As the weeks have past we have recognised that for us, health is not only about hitting the right weight. It encompasses fitness, self care, mental health, wellbeing and so much more.
In response to this realisation we wanted to adjust our linky to suit and so, Wellbeing Wonders is born. We’d love you to join in! You can find the link at the bottom of this post and you can connect with us using the hashtag #WellbeingWonders. We look forward to connecting with you!
You have to adapt to grow!
In line with our realisation and the changes we have made I thought this would be a good time to reflect on the growth that I could be making with regards to my own wellbeing. I have spoken recently about the fact that I work from home and in previous Weigh in Wednesday posts have discussed the fact that I am not very active as a result.
If you’ve ever read one of my Sunday posts you will know that I’m a creature of comforts. One of my biggest comforts is my environment, my home. There is a reason I don’t work in an office. Home is my safety zone and it is where I am happiest. It is also where I work best. Most of the time.
I’ve really noticed myself losing focus over the last week or so and I think I need to change my routine to help me find it again. My weight loss hasn’t been at the centre of my attention like it should be and work has been tackled in dribs and drabs instead of being a key part of my day.
Of course, we all need to make adjustments sometimes to maintain motivation. Whether it’s switching up the order in which we tackle tasks or changing the tasks we undertake altogether, but it doesn’t mean it’s easy to do. I’m reluctantly considering joining an exercise class or starting swimming at the local pool to help with my fitness. Meanwhile I think I need to explore options for working outside of the house as well.
Hopefully, if I’m successful, next week’s post will have a little more direction to it. All going well, adjustments will help me to grow and find my focus again!
