Each Friday, I would like to share a word of the week with you. Something that summarises what I’ve been up to, how I’ve felt and how life is generally going. I’d love if you’d share one in the comments. It can be so therapeutic to reflect on what’s been happening, good or bad!
This week I have chosen the word Chill
This weeks word has two means as I’ve been relaxing a lot and it’s been blooming freezing!
If you read last week’s post you will know that I have been making more of an effort to work in the office space we have in the house instead of on the sofa which had become the norm for me. As comfy as it was it meant that my living room was always filled with work stuff and I didn’t really have a division between the different parts of the day.
Well I am delighted to tell you that after just two weeks of doing this it is working really well and I’m finding myself chilling properly in the evenings. Nothing fancy, just curled up on the sofa in my dressing gown watching a good show and playing some Best Fiends on my tablet. (Is anyone else hooked on this game?)
Of course there has also been a chill thanks to the weather. If you’re in the UK you know what I’m talking about. The temperatures have dropped, the snow has arrived and we’ve had to amp up the heating to help keep the house warm. This is how I justify wearing my dressing gown over my clothes throughout the day.
As much as I’d like the weather to be getting warmer instead of colder I really can’t complain. I get to work from home and don’t really have to deal with the snow at all. In saying that, I am ready for the daffodils to appear now and I know that there are many people who have to face the cold each day that share that sentiment!
