Each Friday, I would like to share a word of the week with you. Something that summarises what I’ve been up to, how I’ve felt and how life is generally going. I’d love if you’d share one in the comments. It can be so therapeutic to reflect on what’s been happening, good or bad!
This week I have chosen the word Coffee
It has been one of those weeks. I honestly feel like I should be sponsored by coffee. My energy levels have been so low and my mood has been right down there too. I’m not sure if I can attribute it to hormones (always a joy!) or all the alcohol I drank at the weekend. Bottomless beer always seems like a good idea before it happens. A mixture of both is most likely but I certainly think I over did it on Saturday and my poor body is telling me to slow down!
Thankfully the coffee has been working and I’ve managed to tackle all of my usual work and even write an extra blog post for the first time in weeks so I’m pleased about that. I can’t tell you how ready I am for some long lies this weekend though. The later sunrise will certainly help with that on Sunday!
On a far brighter note, the fact that we are in Autumn right now means that my absolute favourite seasonal drink is available to help get me through the low energy days. Pumpkin spiced lattes! Yes it is cliche and yes everyone and their dog drinks them but I can’t help myself. Pumpkin spiced lattes are my favourite hot drink. Is there anything better than walking through the park on a chilly day, wrapped up warm with a hot drink in your hand? It seriously brightens my mood and has really helped this week in particular.
(on a side note, please don’t actually give your dog coffee…I can only imagine the horror that would follow)
I’m off to boil the kettle and hope to goodness that I can re-energise this weekend!
